Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Bethel Rapha Hub (“BRH”) may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and similar technologies on its website. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. The exact technologies may change as the website and booking tools develop, so this page is reviewed when material changes are introduced.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Do
A cookie is a small text file placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies can recognize a browser, remember a setting, keep a session working, measure performance, or report whether a message or page was used. These technologies may be temporary session items or remain until they expire or you remove them.
2. Categories of Technologies
- Strictly necessary: support security, page delivery, session continuity, load balancing, fraud prevention, accessibility, and functions you explicitly request. These cannot always be switched off without affecting the service.
- Functional and preference: remember choices such as language, display preferences, or a partially completed workflow where the feature is enabled.
- Analytics and performance: help us understand page errors, traffic patterns, popular content, device compatibility, and how to improve the booking experience. We aim to use aggregated or minimized information where practical.
- Security: help identify suspicious activity, repeated failed requests, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Marketing or social: may be used only if enabled by BRH or introduced through an external service, and should be subject to the choices and notices required by applicable law.
3. Why We Use Them
We may use these technologies to keep the website and booking forms working, remember a user choice, protect forms and sessions, understand technical performance, count visits, improve content, measure communications, and support a feature connected to a third-party service. We do not use a cookie to request or store your M-Pesa PIN, bank password, card PIN, or one-time password.
4. Website Visit Analytics
We measure how the website is used with our own analytics, which runs on BRH’s server. When you open a page, your browser keeps a random identifier in its local storage under the name brh_analytics_device. It is not a cookie and contains no name, contact detail or payment information. We store only a coded form of it, together with the pages you view, how long they were on screen, the website or campaign link that brought you, your device type, browser, operating system, language, and an approximate country taken from your device’s time zone. IP addresses are not stored for analytics.
This lets us count new and returning visits and understand which pages and links are useful. The identifier is renewed after 13 months, analytics records are deleted after 13 months, and none of it is shared with advertisers or other third parties. You can remove the identifier at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. It is not created, and no analytics are recorded, if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
5. Information They May Produce
Depending on the technology, information may include a device or browser identifier, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages visited, time and interaction information, referral source, preference, error information, and whether a session is active. Cookie information may be linked to booking or contact data only where necessary for a stated purpose and permitted by law.
6. Consent and Your Choices
Where non-essential cookies or similar technologies require consent, BRH should request it before activation and provide a way to change or withdraw the choice. You may also use browser settings to block, delete, or restrict cookies and clear local storage. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that is strictly necessary for a service you request or that is required by law.
7. Third-Party Services
Links and features involving maps, WhatsApp, social networks, video, payment providers, analytics, hosting, security, or other external services may cause those providers to process technical information under their own policies. A provider may set its own cookies when you visit its service or activate its feature. Review the provider’s notice and privacy controls before using it.
8. Retention and Security
Session technologies normally expire when a session ends; other items may remain for the period set by the provider or until removed from the browser. We review technologies for necessity and risk, limit access, and protect related records using reasonable safeguards. No browser or online service is completely secure.
9. Browser Controls and Impact
Blocking all cookies may prevent secure sessions, booking forms, preferences, or other functions from working correctly. Browser controls differ by device, so use the help function of your browser for instructions. Deleting cookies on one device does not delete information held by BRH or a third-party provider for another lawful purpose.
10. Updates and Contact
We may update this policy when technologies, providers, law, or website features change. The effective date above will be revised when the policy changes. Questions about cookies or privacy may be sent to accounts@bethelraphahub.com or +254756085871.
